Philosophy Behind the Name

I know it’s obvious to some of the history buffs reading this, but I wanted to talk a little bit about the philosophy behind the Minuteman vehicle holster mount and why I decided to go with that.

I’ve already mentioned some of this in the “about” section so if you’ve already read that then this will seem pretty familiar, but the term “Minuteman” is actually in reference to the American Revolutionary War era where there were specialized units or platoons whose sole purpose was to be battle ready in minutes, hence the name.

Given the times, many colonies found themselves under attack from British forces and so they needed units who could respond quickly and confront the enemy and win or hold the line until reinforcements arrived. Mind you, while these units trained regularly to maintain that efficiency, these or everyday people. They were not soldiers, not hardened warriors, they were simple farmers, craftsmen, everyday folk.

The concept behind the product is the same principle, being ready to fight but instead of minutes, you can be ready in seconds and in today’s environment where milliseconds can make the difference, every second certainly counts. The purpose behind the Minuteman vehicle holster mount, and the company as well, is to make proverbial “Minutemen” out of today’s average person.

Many people in today’s economy simply don’t have the resources or the luxury to train even once or twice a month with their firearm let alone from a vehicle. With that in mind, I want to make it easier for people to defend themselves or their loved ones starting with the cars, trucks, SUVs, etc. that we use daily to get around.
